The incredibly detailed infographics by Jer Thorp do the knock-off series of superhero scraps almost too much justice, as they meticulously and elegantly plot the appearance of every one of the 132 Avengers through almost 50 years of issues, with each hero designated by a three-color shield borrowed from Captain America.

Found: AR iPad App Visualizes Furniture At Home

London and Helsinki-based startup Sayduck has created an augmented reality app that allows users to see how a piece of furniture looks in their home before buying it. This visualization solution utilizes the live camera feed of a mobile device and projects a virtual representation of the object in real-time on a tracking marker, allowing the user to view the virtual object from any angle. This solves the problem of picturing how a piece of furniture would fit in its intended environment.

Pimkie, a french fashion brand created Color Forecast, a website that shows you in real time what colors people are wearing in the fashion capitals. So you always get your colors right... and can conveniently purchase clothing in matching colours.

Video: Stop motion and time lapse explosions

'Compressed' tells stories through analog visual effects - everything in the film was made with physical materials and tools. By using frame by frame stop motion and time lapse techniques, fluid dynamics and magnetism are transformed into majestic explosions and seething storms.
